Summer time

The Summer is here, we can feel it, not only on the temperature in China but also in Denmark, where they have topped 30 degrees. We would therefore like to send warm Summer greetings to all our members and friends in China as well as in Denmark. We thank you for the first half year and look forward for more gatherings to come in the second half.

______

EXPO

DCCC’s three chapters - Beijing, Shanghai and South China hosted a joint event in the Danish Pavilion on May 30. Two honored guest speakers from McKinsey gave a presentation on the future Chinese consumer, followed by John Solomon director of Enovate China.

On September 27 we will host a similar event, though this time as a “lighter evening version”, so you have the whole day to visit the other pavilions, if you prefer.

______

Sankt Hans with magic trics

On June 19 the DCC-SC celebrated their annual Sankt Hans Aften party in Dongguan. The host for this event was the British Pub, One for the Road in Dongguan, where DCC-SC had invited the Magician, Geno, who gave a great performance for the young as well as the more mature audience. The biggest challenge for Geno was a request for a Danish balloon flag, which he managed without hesitations. The evening continued with a tasty BBQ in good company.

Julefrokost on November 27

Our Christmas party, which was originally set for December 4, 2010, has been moved to November 27, 2010, due to overlapping dates with Hong Kong. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to see all of you in Shenzhen for another great party. This year we will try even harder to bring the ’Julefrokost’ atmosphere to China, so please mark your calendar, and join us at this festive event.
